She is the wife of a returned serviceman and mother of two small children. Mrs. Coleman is the daughter of the newly elected mayor (Mr. W. J.. White), and the late Mrs. White. During the war she did munition work, and was one of the first batch of girls picked to go to Melbourne to train as overseers of a section at Salisbury. She is interested in church work in her district and also in the Mothers and Babies' Healtlh Association.
    *** News Friday 8 August 1952 Queen quest dinner. A dinner will be held in the Majestic Hotel tomorrow for candidates and supporting bodies in the Almond Blossom Queen Quest. The quest is organised by the South road sub- branch of the Sailors, Sol diers, and Airmen's Fathers' Association. Official guests include the vice-president of the RSL (Mr. H. G. Rosevear) and Mrs. Rosevear, the de- puty director of recruiting (Mr. L. Lewin), the State president of the women's auxiliary of the association (Mrs. R. H. Pearce) and Mr. Pearce, the Mayor and Mayoress of Marion (Mr. J. W. White, and his daughter Mrs. D. P. Coleman).
